Frequently Asked Questions

Who can use the library?
Every student and staff member at Kingsgate Elementary has access to the library for borrowing books, working on projects, and collaborating with peers. Your student or staff ID number is your library card number.

How many books can I check out?
A "reasonable amount." We start the year checking out one book at a time with class visits, but readers are welcome to come exchange for a new book outside their class library visit. 

How much are late fees?
There are no late fees. We just want you to return it, so that other students have the opportunity to read the book as well.

What happens if I lose a book?
If a book which is lost, damaged, or ruined, you are responsible for the cost of that book. That said, we know that life happens and sometimes books are gone and it's no one's fault. If you have lost a book, talk to the librarian and they will be happy to help you.
